I love the old Hollywood glam makeup looks from the 1920’s to the 1940’s. I’m always doing my research from that era to recreate those looks but with a modern day twist. When I came across the beautiful Australian American actress Hedy LaMarr, besides her life being a Hollywood scandal and being married six times; she was very intelligent. Known as “the most beautiful woman” in her cinema era, Hedy’s claim to fame was starring in 1949 highly grossed film, Samson and Delilah. After leaving the glamorous Hollywood lifestyle behind, Hedy along with composer George Antheil, invented and developed frequency hopping technology which has now been incorporated into the modern wi-fi, CDMA and bluetooth technology. In 2014, Hedy LaMarr was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame.
Happy birthday Hedy LaMarr, 11/09/1914 – 01/19/2000
Men are virile and most attractive between the ages of 35 and 55. Under 35 a man has too much to learn and I don’t have time to teach him.
