#WritersBlockWednesday: Fasting And Praying

Not only is the season of life changing but so is my spiritual growth in Yahweh. Today is the first day of winter and the day of atonement. Jews recognize this day as “Yom Kippur”, a day to “afflict the soul”; atone for your sins between man and God. In doing so Jews show reverence by not eating (fasting) and refrain from any physical labor (not going to work).

To demonstrate my repentance and in making amends with God, I begin to observe this holy holiday by pushing back the plate and sipping on cucumber water until sun down. I almost fainted tonight during church services but through Gods grace I made y’all lol.

Now let us all pray, #RebukeTheCalories and eat.
