#Glam: Ratchet or Righteous Who SLAYED TO THE FASHION GAWDS?

Pretty Girl Disclaimer: Let us NOT enter the judgement zone. Beauty is a matter of observation where ones preference is not determined by the opinions of others. Everything is NOT for every body. The most rewarding part of my career as a artist is being a confident enough to define my own beauty.

HONESTLY!?! I was quite disappointed at the fashion faves I had to choose from on this year BET Awards red carpet. We can blame the stylist or the artist but does it really matter. You only get one chance to make a first impression. We will not talk about the ratchetness that was observed only the righteous who displayed #SLAYToTheFashionGawds potential in areas of hair, makeup, fashion, accessories and overall cohesive put together look.

Singer Brandy complimented this gorgeous Michael Costello dress with a bob shaped natural fro, a soft smokey eye and nude lip. I would have love to see Brandi give us a matching matte pink lip to match that pop of color from her shoes.JanelleMonae

Janelle Monae gets it right every time with her black and white combo wardrobe pieces. Janelle choose to come out of her comfort zone wearing a customized violet lined SAFiYAA cape over a little black dress with simple gold accessories. She SLAYS this look with a Giuseppe Zanotti serpentine sandal.

TV Personality on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta MiMi Faust gives us all the sexy summer sophistication we need in this white dress designed by Joni Marie Ross. Instead of black polish I would have liked to have seen a pop of color on MiMi’s nails like hot pink, green, yellow or orange. Still SLAYED though!

The Glam Squads consists of hair makeup and wardrobe stylist. Shout out to my fellow makeup artists who SLAYED the faces of Raven Goodwin, Latoya Luckett, Naturi Naughton, Andra Day and Janelle Monaeraven Raven Goodwin gives us a flawless dewy bronzed makeup look with sexy eyelashes for days and a hot pink lip color. This look really brings out orange jumpsuit and gold accessories. latoyaLatoya Luckett gives us a sultry neutral smokey eye.
