When I thought I was drowning in a sea of depression, hurt, pain and betrayal; I began to look to God, Yahweh for spiritual guidance for refugee. I stop putting God on hold because of career and family obligations. Making excuses to work instead of dealing with the real issue. I needed some real me time to download and process my feelings. To forgive those that have wounded me.
As I continue to put my feelings to rest during these final sleepless nights, I am at peace knowing that my grandmother loved me with every fiber of her being. Through my tears I’m healed. The queen that I looked up to may be gone from this earthly world but will never be forgotten in my heart. Rest in Peace, Queen Bertha Jean Davis.
I may be flawed but my makeup is perfect. #KahluaParkerBeauty
